Dear BigKnife,
Last one I did was this:
Shank length---- .1055
Major Dia.------- .896
Minor Dia.--------.825
Thread-- --------12 Square TPI

This was on an older Savage and "may" not be the same as the one you`re working on so I hope this helps. The barrels are horribly tight so be careful removing the old one as I think you can crush/warp the receiver if you`re not careful.

Aloha, Mark

I think the shank length was meant to be 1.055 inches.

Thanks fellers    My action is a clip model it has V threads 14 to the inch    I dont have a barrel for proto type. My measure, I come up with.947 from action face to collar, .899 from action face to bolt face, .836 to the tops of the action threads and this is the one I could use some help with about .906 to the bottoms. I got this last # form the small counterbore in front of the threads. But the counterbore may be deeper than the bottom of the thread. Thanks again.
