Full Length T'SOB Question
« on: August 03, 2005, 08:44:37 AM »
I am thinking about sending my 375 JDJ barrel to SSK to have a full length t'sob installed. Then i'm planning on topping it off with a 2x7x32 Burris scope that I already have on another gun. My question is, do the rings supplied with the full length base have enough clearence for a scope with that large a lense?  Also, does anyone know where I might be able to find a pic of a barrel with a full lenght T'SOB in blued? I have a blued 45-70 T/C barrel that i'm thinking about having the same thing done to for my next project. Thanks, John

The full-lenght TSOB rib will not a allow a32mm Burris to fit.  I put a Weaver 2.5x8 on instead and justhad a reg TSOB put on my 45/70 so I could take advantage of a larger fov the Burris allows. I have a full-lenght TSOB on my 375JDJ in blue and it's a great looking set-up. It's 12" and mag-na-ported. Just had a 1/4 rib TSOB put on a 450Marlin barrel (15"),it's also a good-looking set-up as well  on a Encore barrel.

I agree with Pie Bald. I have  a full length TSOB rib on my 6.5JDJ and the SSK rings are too low for my Burris 2.5x7. I used Warne steel rings instead.

if you still want a full length t'sob, HIGH Warne rings will work, as will HIGH Burris signature rings.
