Any unlisted barrels available?
« on: July 29, 2005, 03:10:22 PM »
I know I could just call customer service - but I thought asking all of you might provide a more complete answer.  Are there any barrels available that are not listed on the H&R site?  What have they made in the past that might be available used?

I'm asking because the only 7mm-08 barrel they have listed is the "Super light weight".  I would like to get one in a normal wieght (or even better yet heavyweight) for silhouette shooting.  They do sell a handi youth model in 7mm-08 that appears to have a normal weight barrel.  Does anyone know if they will fit one to my ultra?

The 7mm-08 is available in 22", #707, it's a standard contour, includes scope rail and hammer extension. There are also .204 Ruger, 22" blue or stainless .22-250, 7.62x39, 500 S&W and a few .357 Mag and .270 Ultracomp barrels available. All barrels can be fitted to an Ultra built 1999 or later..... Tim
