Just got off the phone with H&R they do sell the:
24" Flutted Bull Blued barrel in the barrel acc. progam.

Barrel $110
Shipping $10
Fitting $15

They are out of 44mag barrels and will be for 3-4 months.

I do have 1 question can I just send in the reciever? Or do i have to send in the reciever with stock? This will be my first add on barrel.

That's good news, did they give you the part number for the fluted 22-250 barrel? If so, please post it.

You don't need to send the stock set in.

They opened my box yesterday,and Jennifer said it would be a wk.,and it would be coming back to me with a 24" 22 250,a 25 06,and a 204 Ruger barrel with it. Digger

Hey Ditch, we can give those guys some instruction next year at the
PD shoot. I just got a 204 rifle week ago. Haven't got shot it much.

iam not sure is the 22/250 the only cal the fluted barrel comes in???any ideas on how the wieght compares to a heavy verses standard , nice its 24 in real nice if it was 26,,,,

It's just a standard NEF bull barrel with flutes cut out of it, right?

The fluted ultra is available in .223, 204 ruger and .22-250.....whether they're all available in the barrel program , IDK. FWIW, my .22-250 fluted ultra measures .765 at the muzzle, my 24" .243 ultra measures .775.

That was my exact measurements on my UVF and my 24" Ultra Varmit in .223.

That's encouraging, I would like to think that Green Mountain builds some pretty good barrels!! :wink:
