Should The Senate Pass An Amendment Banning The Sale Of .50 Caliber Rifles?  Go to http://www.vote.com/ and vote.  Last count has the No vote ahead 77% to the Yes vote of 23%.  Lawdog

Banning 50BMG rifle is stupid... I mean really, a terrorist will smuggle his anyway.  If the goverment can't keep track of boat loads of drugs, how are thay going to keep track of a 50BMG rifle?
Happiness is a warm CETME.

Your deer rifle will never be banned... they will call it a terrorists sniper rifle first.

If I really wanted to crash an airplane I would get a few friends armed with laser pointers and shine them into the eyes of the pilot and copilot as they were coming in for a landing.  Silent, cheap as compared to a rifle, no license required, easily concealed and if done from an observation platform you don’t even have to go thru an airport check station.  There is already a few cases where pilots have reported them being shined into their eyes temporally blinding them.  Two car crashes have been reported where the drivers(eye tests backed up their stories) reported being temporality blinded by a green/red light.  Lawdog
