Interesting?
« on: August 06, 2005, 07:39:00 PM »
I have a Barnett Ranger and a Chinese  Barnett Wildcat Copy. Some one just gave me the copy. I am also getting a  Barnett Commando from a friend of mine which I plan on setting up or my primary xbow for hunting as it has a  self cocking feature my other xbows do not. . I find it interesting that Barnetts are not thought of that highly compared to the other xbow brands here in the States or Canada but is according to what I have read they are the  number one brand of xbow in the UK. While my xbows are no excalibers or Ten points they do the job so I am happy with them. I like the simplicity of the recurve too instead of the compound though they are nice and I would not turn away from one of the price was right. Not sure if Barnett sells so well in the UK because they make them there and other xbows are harder to get or what. Not doing a bashing of any brands here I think they are all good. I just find it odd that is how it is from what I have read on the web.  Of course every one has pride in what they own that is human nature. Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

Jim,I also use a Barnett (Rhino Mag). Not sure where they are made, but Barnett International is located in Odessa,Fl.I assume by the title having "international" in it they are made somewhere else (over the pond).Mine has a 150# pull w/320 fps.I've had no problems with it,and I don't see how any other xbow,no matter what it cost, could be any better for my use.At 35 or 40 yrds. he or she is in the freezer."No brag;just fact" 8) .........................Rick

Thats why my Chevy is better than your Ford or Chryco.
I stand behind my Excaliburs. My brother only shoots Ten Point and you and others like Barnett. If it suits you and and you hit what you aim at, great use it .
