what kind of optics are people useing?
« on: August 06, 2005, 03:52:42 PM »
My old set up had a 4 power rifle scope.  I now have a ten point Titan TL-4 with the hand crank and one of their 3 line scopes.  The set up is great but I also looked at one of the 3 dot scopes, the dots were too close together when on a bright setting.  I thought they might be more problematic than good.  I did use the wrong line one time which caused me to loose an arrow.  Thought of a one dot scope for next year or maybe a halo sight.

Some guys like the single dot sights and if you know how to hold over or shoot under depending on the range it should work fine. No worse than aa single crosshair scope which you would have to do the same. I bought one of the 3 dot sights from a friend of mine as his dad did not like the battery idea so they went with a scope and sold me the 3 dot sight. I like it and you just have to get used to the way you set the brightness and it works fine. Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

I use the excalibur vari zone scope on my Excals. Its adjustable from 250 to 350 fps. Easy to sight in an easy to adjust with the speed ring if you change the weight of your bolts. It can be set for 10-20-30-40-and 50 yds
