It's my understanding that he should be out by now. Anyone know anything? Last I heard he should have been out by October of last year. I really would like a hardness tester!

Like you, I had heard he was to be released in October 2002. If you are looking for a lead hardness tester take a look at this one: http://www.castingstuff.com.
I do not have one, I just thought that it looked like a good hardness tester. They are found under the Cabine Tree listing on the page.

I have both and the cabintree unit is cheaper better built and more accurate and consistant.
