Marlin braggin'
« on: February 23, 2003, 02:28:57 PM »
Took my new Marlin .45LC Cowboy Limited in 24" oct barrel out yesterday for the match.  My total break in up to that point was firing about 20 rounds to see if the bullets would come out of the barrel--they did.

After the match we were shooting at a 4' sq target 165 yards off, over the pond, next to the bank.

Held just off the top and a shade to the left (it was printing 2" to the right at 20 yards.)  Front sight seemed just about the same size as the target.  Hit it 6 or 6.  This with my reading glasses on so I could see the sights.  Haven't messed with the sights at all--don't think I will.  Shooting a 200 gr Lee molded RNFP over 5.2 gr of Bullseye.

This rifle is better than me.  Think I'll keep her.
