Bought a used Model 782 WMR today in excellent shape. Not a scratch on it and excellent bore and blueing. One of the guys at the gun shop said it was his and had not been out of his safe in years. Came with a nice leather sling and the receiver is not drilled and tapped for scope mounts so had to get rings for grooved receiver. Tried standard Leupold rimfire rings, but were not high enough. The bolt hit the scope so went and got Leupold see-thru rimfire rings. Don't usually like them because they put the scope so high. Went to my buddy's farm after getting everything assembled and am really pleased. After getting the scope sighted in, had a couple of 3/4" groups at 50 yds. Bought one of the "new" Simmons so not sure how it will hold up, but adjustments worked great today. Was using CCI Maxi Mag Gold Dot HP's. Went to buy a new gun, but saw this one and it was just what I wanted. For #139. I am very pleased.

Anyone know if the magazine can be disassembled? Wanted to not push the next round up occasionally. Didn't happen a lot, but enough to be annoying. Thanks for any input. :-)

you should be able to slide the bottom off and then pull out the spring and stretch it out a little. that works for me on my semiauto pistols. i would think it would do the same for you.

Thanks, Matt

I'll try it. Has a couple of dimples on the bottom plate. Not the release pins I am accustomed to on my semi-auto pistols. Probably just needs cleaning and maybe stretched a little bit. Want to get back out and try it with some different ammo when I have longer to spend with it.
