Shilen replacement trigger for Rem... safety ?
« on: August 10, 2005, 04:53:17 PM »
I am considering replacing the trigger on my new Rem 700 sps .223  with a standard Shilen trigger . Does this trigger come with a safety ?? I would be happy with 2.5 lbs and no creep. Thanks

I don''t remember for certain but most, if memory serves, use the safety from the remington unit.  It's a fairly simple swap.  Have you tried just adjusting the stock trigger?? They can usually be adjusted to 2.5-3 pounds safely...  Of course the Shilen is also adjustable.. and even more finely.
