What is the correct and most accurate way to sight in a revolver using sand bags at the range?  For example...how do you support the revolver on the bags ect?

I use a two hand hold and put the grip on a sandbag.  I will put a rest in front with a sandbag on it, and usually just use it as a crutch to steady any wobble in my hands.  Not a lot of weight on bag in front.  Usually just touch enough to take away those shakes.

I have to be careful with the heavy recoiling guns as the roll of the grip can actually cut into the sandbag.

Good luck and have fun.

Also, you might try to put a pad under your chin so you can relax your neck and have a solid support for your head.  It makes fatigue less of a factor and really steadies the sights.

I do the same with the only exception being that if its a hard recoiling gun i like some padding under my elbows as the wood on the bench has a tendency to scrape them raw.
