what do you guys think if ruger would produce a revolving rifle? blackhawk frame, grip frame would be incorperated in part of the walnut buttstock,18"-20"bbl.....? well years ago i saw a movie with a guy with a revolving rifle and since it was different than what most rifles i've seen it always stuck with me. 'sides i think the 'lil gun would be fun for brush or just fun to plink with! 8)

Someone else makes these (Uberti maybe).  I've always thought they're a neat idea but they can be a pain in the hand to shoot in a natural stance.  Gasses and hot powder escaping can be a bit unpleasan t to the forward hand.   I've seen a Ruger that was made into one of these revolving carbines and it did look nice.   They'll never do it as there's very little demand for such a model.  Would I buy one though?   Yeah just for poops and hahas

I was at the 25 yard range to see where a newly aquired SKS shot before I took it to the 100 yard station. I gent in the next stall pulled out a nice replica of a Remington Revolving Carbine in .45 Colt. As I was aiming he let one go and some of the gas and particulates from the cylinder gap caught me in the corner of my right (aiming) eye, I was waring my regular glasses (new too)..... It hurt for weeks and I had just gotten an eye exam.....

I drew up a Ruger Revolving Rifle many years ago (before the new model came out) and was going to build one from a Super Blackhawk, but when Ruger brought out the New Model I didn't want to modify a now irreplacable Old Model SBH.  I couldn't see how the New Model hammer could be converted to pull rather than push the mainspring, as I had visualized the hammer/strut setup to work from the rear rather than down into the pistol grip of a handgun, so I never redrew it as a New Model.

I might yet sacrifice an Old Model if I can find one that needs to be restored to begin with, and I have some spare time to invest.

I did, many years ago build a Remington Revolving Rifle from a Navy Arms handgun, cap & ball, before Uberti made theirs.

Okay, now who wouldn't need one of these if they offered them in .22LR, based on the single six frame!!!!
