Well to be honest I came here because I was looking for information on the handi rifle. This site was so informative, helpfull and the folks here not only did they help me, but to me they are just plain good people.  I guess I just couldn't leave.

I joined way before i became a handi-holic. The site was recommended by my cousin Chris. I really started using the board when i purchased my first handi. I just couldn't leave. There is a wealth of info here, and really fine people too.

When I was considering purchasing a handi-rifle I did a Google search and came up with this site.  As the people above said, it has been indespinsable for information.  The folks here are the best!

I had "Handi-Holic-Itis" before I came here (at the time I didn't what the disease was called).  Until I found this place I thought I was the only one that had this disease.  I stayed because I now know that I am not the only one, and the guys are great.

Heck...most folks when they pick up a Handi become addicts...and don't realize it :-D ..I was anyways...and came here to roost just before the final demise of H&R talk.as a-lot of us did.....Then when Greybeard decided to make us our own forum...that sealed the deal for where I call home... and it just keeps getting better all the time... :D

I also came looking for info on Handis, info has been freely given and I reckon with most of you regulars I would happy to spend time hunting with or yakking and shooting with at the range, even though I live half a world away

I would not own a Handi if I hadn't stumbled upon the H&R talk forum. I think a lot of users there got lost when the forum was closed to posting. I know it took me a while to find Graybeard, I believe I found this place through a message on the Yahoo board. I think some H&R talkers never reconnected with the rest after H&R Talk/Marlin Talk went down.

I came to GB shortly after the other forum I frequented closed down one day.

This whole site is very nice/friendly and very informative.

I bought my first handy this year for the OK Pdog shoot.

I'm not a Handyholic sorry to say. I've been told if you admit you have a problem then your half way to the cure...well damit I don’t want to be cured. So I'm not a handyholic that’s my story and I'm sticking to it

Folks: I was member no. 176 on the the old H&R/NEF board, just to give you a time frame. With some posters it was a rather rough and tumble place, was more than happy when I found GB and his up front guidelines.
My first NEF was a Tracker II, the second was a Ultra .223 24" barrel, it was down hill from there :( . I found I really don't like Handi's that well really, even though I own half a dozen, yea I just hate'em. {Gotta keep telling myself that!!} It just seems that the nicest people own 'em and are more than willing to share their experience,  knowledge, and are more interested in hunting and shooting rather than who has the biggest eeerrrrr.........gun?? :-D . When I first came here, I had a bull barrel Rossi 223 ( still have it) Now I have 10 Handi's, just picked up my 204 fluted yesterday, had to pass on the 500 S&W, cash flow slow.I feel like I was adopted into a wonderful family, not many would take an old 64 year old gray beard like me, except Graybeard!

There is no known cure. As far as I know the drug companies are not researching this disease (orphan class I think).  So I am here to learn to live a long and fruitful life with this affliction.  Besides I have ten dependents (various Handi rifles) in my family (and growing) that count on me for their care (cleaning and tuning) and feeding (ammo).  So with everyone’s support I will continue to make it day-by-day.

I too am a refugee from the old H&R site and honestly even though I missed the old board at first GBO is head and shoulders above above the old H&R Talk and all the others I've found since. I post mainly on the H&R shotgun forum but I read the CF forum daily. Since I've been reading the CF forum I've picked up a .357Mag, 45-70 and most recently a great 16.5" .223 barrel. Most of the best guys from the old sight showed up here pretty quick. I know this is a great place because my wife gives me grief every time she sees me looking at it. I turned to the net in the 1st place because out of all the guys I know that hunt no one else uses an H&R any more and I needed some one to talk to about it.

I'd much rather be remembered for being a great shot than having the most expensive gun
