WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN TRADING OR SELLING THOSE DIES? WHAT KIND ARE THEY? WHAT CONDITION?
 THANKS FOR THE REPLY!

I have a set of 6mm x 284 dies that I probably won't use again, since I rebarreled to 6.5x284.
When you get your gun back e-mail me and I will give you what data  I have for 6x284.
Sizing the brass down from .284 to .243 is not a slam dunk. My die set had a .25 sizer in it, but that is still a big jump and I caved in a lot of necks.  A 6.5 sizer and then 6.0 would be a better way to go.  I also found that I had better luck sizing once fired 284 brass.
The 6mm x 284 is comparible to the 240 Weth Mag.
Purchasing 6.5 x 284 brass is expensive.
The round is a hoot to shoot. 8)  8)

Coopershooter,
My dies are Reddings and I got the form die from them to go from .284 to 6-284. I did 200 Win. cases this way and didn't lose any of them. Next I got some 6.5-284 Norma cases from NECO. Yes they are expensive($61 per 100) . But they are the best brass I've ever seen. 293 of 300 were within 1% by weight, that,s +/- 1grain.  Of the 293 I culled 3 more for neck runout and the remaining 290 didn't require neck turning  because they were all within .001 as measured on a Sinclair consentricty guage..

Hodgdon and Load from a Disc have load data but Hodgdon is quite conservative. Depending on bullet wt RL-19 is a good place to start, along with H-4350, & H-4831SC Check MD Smith on the net also.

COOPERSHOOTER:

I would be happy to share with you some data I have from when I used to shoot a 6X284 Winchester.  As with all data provided on the internet you are on your own here.   I cannot be sure they will be safe in your gun.  This is just what I found in mine.

The gun I tested was a Remington action with a 26 inch barrel of unknown brand.  I will list for you some samples of the loads I tried, all these loads were put up in Wincheser brand 284 Winchester cases.  I used a 25 caliber trim die as an intermediate when forming cases and still lost a few due to caved in necks.  This gun also split case necks fairly frequently.

Fed 215 /  54 grains H 4350  /  Nosler 75 sp  /  3730 fps  / accurate!

CCI 250 /   51 grains IMR 4350 / Speer 80 sp /  3435 fps
CCI 250 /   52 grains IMR 4350 / Speer  80 sp / 3510 fps
CCI 250 /   53 grains IMR 4350 /  Speer 80 sp / 3558 fps

CCI 250 /   51 grains RL 19  /  Speer 85 BTSP  /  3152 fps
CCI 250 /   52 grains RL  19  /  Speer 85 BTSP /  3258 fps
CCI 250  /  53 grains RL 19  /  Speer 85 BTSP  /  3329 fps
CCI 250  /  54 grains RL 19  /  Speer  85 BTSP  /  3385 fps

CCI 250 /  54 grains H 4831  /  Speer 90 sp  /  3443 fps
CCI 250 /  55 grains H 4831  /  Speer 90 sp  /  3513 fps  (max!)

CCI 250 /   50 grains RL 22  /  Sierra 100 BTSP  /  3091 fps
CCI 250 /   51 grains RL 22  /  Sierra 100 BTSP  /  3174 fps
CCI 250 /   52 grains RL 22  /  Sierra  100 BTSP /  3236 fps
CCI 250 /   53 grains RL 22  /  Sierra  100 BTSP  /  3340 fps

Fed 215 /   55 grains IMR 7828  /  Sierra 100 BTSP  /  3322 fps

Fed 215/   54 grains IMR 7828   /  Speer 105 SP  /  3210 fps

Fed 215/   55 grains IMR 7828  /  Speer 105 SP   /  3275 fps

Again, all these loads were safe in the rifle I tested.  What they will do in your rifle, I have no idea.

Hope this is of some value.
