30.06 barrel for my handi?
« on: August 16, 2005, 11:22:07 AM »
I have a .223 Handi-rifle and was thinking about getting a 30.06 barrel for it. Now how does this work? I send my gun in to H&R minus the .223 barrel and they fit the new barrel? Will I be able to just change my two barrels back and forth as I please?
 Thanks for any help.

Yep. Sounds like you got it.
Go to the barrel accessory program.

Don't bother sending your stock set with it. Ask Quick what happened to his.... It will save you shipping cost also. Once they fit the 06' barrel you can switch them back and forth as you please. Expect a 3-4 week wait when you send it back. But i think the turn around time is pretty low right now. i'm thinking around a week to 2 weeks.

Thanks for the replies. That's what I was hoping I could do, fit the new barrel and just change barrels as needed.
Seems too good to be true though. Two differant rifles for a small barrel fee?
By the looks of your stock Quicktoo, I think I'll just remove the stock and send it in without it. I suppose I can do that?
 Thanks again for your help.

Yes, you can send it in without the stock....weighs less, costs less, easier to pack!!
