I'm considering my first Glock purchase. This handgun will get its' share of hunting time for coyotes, groundhogs and various other varmints. I'm deciding between a 9mm or a .40S&W calibers and in the longslide versions, which would be the 17L (9mm) or 24 (.40S&W) models.
I have shot and owned 38Spl., .357Mag., 44Mag., 45ACP and BP 44 revolvers. I am choosing between 9mm and .40S&W, instead of 45ACP for better control. This handgun will also double as a "house gun" for home defense, but will not be a CCW.
Your opinions and experiences with the longslide accuracy, caliber choice and anything else you can think of is greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Bowhunter57
