Are there any calibers available not listed in H&R site?
« on: August 21, 2005, 03:24:31 PM »
I recently checked the H&R web site, and it doesn't appear as though its been updated in a while.  Are there any other chamberings available not currently listed?

 H yes siree Bob there are!  The best thing to do is email or call customer service and tell them what you want.

For example, they have .270 ultra comp barrels, .357 magnum, etc.

For shotguns, you can even order the ribbed barrel 20 and 12 gauge barrels they put on their new Topper Deluxe Classics.

You can also order stuff like the walnut stocks they use for their buffalo classics, etc.  I was quite surprised.  Basically, anything they make now or have made in the past that's in their factory they sell and fit for VERY reasonable prices.

That's why I love NEF/H&R so much.  You can buy a whole gun for less than a Thompson Center barrel.

I have a walnut stocked handi rifle (it was a Whitetails Unlimited commemorative) that I'm sending in to them soon and I'm gonna load up on barrels.  I'll have an arsenal just with my one gun!

Tim:  You know it all dude!  Thanks for the link.

Here's another question... You know the gun I'm referring to that I own.  Do you think they can install the 20 gauge heavy slug barrel and still keep my walnut forend or will I have to just stick with the Tracker II?

I would assume if I could have a 12 gauge barrel fitted to my gun with the same forend, I can have them fit a 20 gauge Ultra Slug barrel.

Tk

They use a different forend, the screw is in a different location and the barrel channel is bigger.

Boo hiss!!  I read that on their site.

Ok. last question.  How in the heck do people post photos on this site?  (not the avatar, but actually photos.  I'd like to be able to do that with some of my posts.  I especially wanted to show that MONSTER whitetail in my avatar.  I want to get some idea from the pros on this site as to what it might have scored.

It was a Michigan 12 pointer (6x6) that is one of the widest racks I've ever seen, EVER!

Thank you fine sir.
