How did you first learn about trajectory?

I first learned about trajectory by shooting at birds with a used daisy red ryder bb gun. I had been shooting them off the dog bowl by aiming dead on. Then I tried to shoot one off the telephone wire which was double the distance away. Missed the bird but the bb did hit the neighbors window and the neighbor lady came running out but didn't know what was going on or I would have gotten an ear full. (as she was wont to do every time I mowed the lawn) That day I learned to care about what was down range when I squeezed off a shot and about the rainbow drop of a bbgun.

For  my 16 birthday Daddy bought me a 22 remington 552( still got it). It was probably that summer we was sating out in the front yard taking some pot shots (that was back in the good ole days you hear about no neighbors). There was a crow sating in a dead tree maybe a 100 yrds (remember this is my story so I can remember what I want) anyway daddy got to shooting at the crow while standing behind him I could see the bullet as it traveled and arcing toward the crow. Now daddy had the elevatin down pat but was sailing thous bullets in front of the crow. Well that dumb bird would try to grab them as they passed. Daddy said he must think they are big ole bumble bees. Well it came a sport to see what would happen. Finley I don't know if daddy got to close or the crow finely caught one but he lost his head that day. If I don't remember any thing ells about my daddy it will be sating in that front yard with his feet propped up on a coffee tree. Went by that ole house a few weeks ago it is about to fall down but those two coffee trees are still there.
