Bought an older model Ruger Single Six in .32 H&R today.

I've been looking for a relatively light weight (lighter than my Dan Wesson .44) revolver to carry backpacking and shooting Marmots. I love a young marmot roasted over the camp fire. Always wanted a Ruger Single Six, and the .32 seemed like just the ticket for my intended use. Problem was finding one of the older ones with adjustable sights, and then everyone wanted way too much to suit me. Found one late last night on Gunbroker in "99.9% condition" with no bids on it. I got it for the minimum reserve. WHEEE! This is going to be fun! :-D

Congrats on the new .32! Very interesting little cartriage. It will work perfect for your intended purpose I'm sure. I havent tried marmont myself but may have to give it a try sometime!

Fun, fun, fun. Mine have all been extremely accurate (most accurate factory Ruger's I own) and plain hell on jack rabbits and armadillos iwht the 100 gr XTP.

They are an awesome little gun.  No recoil and pretty accurate.  Young chucks should be coming out any time.  Enjoy.

I have one with the 4 5/8ths bbl.  They are truly a joy to carry and shoot.  Because of old eyes I did change to a fiber optic front and rear sight on this one.  It's a lot easier for me to get the sights on the intended target.  I hope you enjoy yours as much aas I enjoy mine.

Nice find Cobrad. I have been looking for some time without any success. Hope to get lucky this year.

Yes, I agree that they're fine for small game. I picked up a 9 1/2" single six for $225 at the local gander mountain last summer. Talk about lucky!!
