Congrats on your purchase! Funny thing is...I just got my R-9 Goldfinger from the UPS guy about a week ago! I ordered mine from Straight Shooters with the Crossman Premier Lites for my first pellets. Most folks seem to have pretty good luck with them. Once broken in, I really want to try the Crow-Magnum pellets. I too learned a lot from this board. I almost ordered a TF99M, but once I ordered the gun, scope, mounts and had it tuned, I figured I'd be in about as deep as if I just bought the GF R9. What turned me from the Tech Force was when I contacted a tuner about having him tune it for me. I won't mention names because I didn't ask his permission to do so but rest assured, he's well revered in the Airgun world. He said that the TF's have really tough triggers and that even after he worked it, it would still be a hard pull. So hence, the R9. I am soooo glad I went with the Beeman! It is an awesome looking, well made gun and seems to shoot well too. Still learning the springer thing so I'm hoping my groups will tighten up after a couple hundred pellets. What caliber did you go for? I went with the .177. From what i've read, even if you're using the .20, you still need to make head shots on the squirrels and the difference in FPE between the two is only .4 at the muzzle That coupled with the cost of the pellets, I had to go with the .177.
Okay, I think that's about it....just need more time to shoot!!!!
