Back From The Denali Highway
« on: August 21, 2005, 06:22:22 PM »
Just got back from the Denali Highway.  No large amounts of Caribou there yet.  A few single animals were being taken, but no large amounts anywhere in sight.  Weather was good for the most part till last night, it started to rain and rained hard.  We left this morning, too much water.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

A buddy of mine managed to take one a couple of miles off the road in the 14-Mile Lake area.  He only saw one group of five.
