I built this wildcat from 450 NE brass. It is 3.45 in long.Tested it
with 4 bullet wts, 17 powders,  2 barrel lengths over a 3 year period.
It can get a 450 gr bullet over 3000 fps. Straight tapered case that can be reloaded dozens of times. Here are pictures..Ed.

With that cartridge length, what rifle do you use?  8)

It works great in Ruger #1's

You add a little weight to cut the recoil. We developed cartridge in
a Ruger 77 bolt action, using it as single shot.Had to narrow up back bridge to lengthen port, and changed bolt stop.We also chambered P-17 Enfield also. Two friends are rechambering #1's.We tested  it with 1900
rounds in 3 years, using two barrel lengths. It will work in good O/U
and double rifles also.We are getting thing together to make a run of
factory brass.Have place to get reamers and loading dies.Anyone
interested let me know.

hubel458, looks like a great cartridge. It would be fun to have one, but I have a few of my own wildcats on the burner that need to be finished.  8)
