22 long rifle barrel for Encore--who make it?
« on: August 23, 2005, 07:14:15 AM »
Please help me remember who makes this barrel with an offset firing pin that will fire 22 long rifle from an Encore without changing out the firing pin.

Has anyone used one and how has it worked for you?  I know they are expensive but it may be a way to grow my 8 year old into his own Encore over time.

Thanks for any help you can offer and if anyone has one for sale, I might be interested.

Mike

It just so happens that I've got an order for a 20" stainless  flutted .22WMR WZL barrel from
http://www.ottllc.com/  I've already got one other barrel from him and it's awesome plus I'm waiting for a .218 Bee barrel . He does real nice work. . I can't wait.

Mike,  I would look at the G2 contender. You can get a complete rifle with factory 22 barrel for about the same as a custom Encore barrel. Later a 223 up to 30-30 or the popular7-30 Waters for deer. Thats what I have for kids to use or camp gun. The lighter weight would be a plus. Later you could up grade to the Encore.  Ya know you need one if each anyway.....
