Does anybode know if there is a turn-in style scope base made that can be used on a handi. I ha8 weaver rings.

That would really be nice, but I don't think anyone makes em......I hope someone shows that to not be true, though! :-D I'd love to be able to use the Burris Signature dual dovetail rings! :grin:

Well what I'm thinkin is there may be a one piece base for some brand of bolt gun that may work we just don't know bout it yet.

Hmmm, I've got one on my BLR, but it's the kind with the windage screws on the back which I wouldn't receommend, but the contour may be close, I'll check it out today!!

You can get two Burris rear bases for the Rugger #1 fit and Steel bed them.

I have also been curious about Redfield style bases for the Handi. I think the main reason no one has offered one is because of the fact you'll need high to extra-high rings to clear the ridiculous hammer spur.

FWIW, the redfield BLR one piece base with the windage adjustment could be made to work using the rear mount hole and drilling 2 or 3 additional holes in the base and D&T 2 or 3 additional holes in the barrel, but I don't think it would be much of an advantage and the windage adjustable base is known to damage scope tubes unless aligned perfectly. Any way ya look at it, it would require at trip to a smith and cost a bit at $20 a hole for the D&Td holes.

That sounds interesting Fred, but requires D&Tg, doesn't it? Doesn't seem to me that much spread would be for mounting using a two piece base arrangement.

You can get two different heighth and mount one on the barrel. ]

Drilling and Tapping....your .257 bob's mounting requires a bit more work than most of us can or want to do, but certainly does look nice. I think a bolt-on turn in base is what we're looking for.
