A friend of mine has used them all season and said some birds came in a little quicker he thinks but has had others turn and run at the site of them.

A friend of mine had the same experience with decoys, hens and jakes got nervous and ran away. He thought a gobbler would come in to take the hen decoys from the jake, but never got the chance to find out!!
Cheers,

My friends and I tried them early in the season but eventually stopped for exactly this reason. They seemed to be about as likely to scare turkeys or at least make them nervous as they were to attract them. I won't be wasting my time with them again.
