what scope base for a superlight ?

i bought a superlight for my son and i am having trouble matching a scope base to it. does anyone know what model works on this rifle? i dont want to take the one off of my handi to try it. i have the synthetic stainless 243 and it is shooting too good to mess with right now !!! thanks for the replies -- icthus

You can either get the standard or Ultra base from H&R or get a Weaver 82 which only has 2 cross slots and the rear slot is about an inch forward of the rear slot on the H&R bases which isn't ideal. As far as I know, the Weaver #82 is the only aftermarket base made for them.

thanks quick. my son is chomping at the bit to shoot his new rifle. i really am thankful for all of the good info this site has. i may not post alot but i lurk almost every day!!
