Hi all,

just picked up a couple of boxes of the Winchester 34gr JHP. Anyone used it as yet, how's it go in the Handi?

I didn't even know Winchester were making this round 'til today. :oops:

no i havn't used them but i would vvery much like to hear a report on them when you do shoot them. :wink: :wink: :wink:

I've used it, it didn't shoot any better than the remington or HSM at 1½" @ 100yds, there are 2 offerings from Winchester, the Silver box Super-X 34gr JHP and the White box, only shot the Silver box, Cabelas hadn't got the white box in yet, but it's available now.

I've shot them in my Fluted Handi and my Encore rifle 204. They shot MOA in both.........

There were a couple of guys last winter claiming that it was a good fur load especially conmpared to the 32 grain v-max loads. Accuracy wise it was not as good as the other loadings but if the bullet is for fur it does not need to be quite as accurate. But that is internet hearsay I'll be looking forward to your report.

These are the silver box items.

I'm very much looking forward to using them too, though it will be a while before I get to punch holes in anything other than paper.
