Knight Value Question
« on: September 04, 2005, 12:04:53 AM »
I have an opportunity to buy a Stainless/Synthetic Knight .50 In-Line, 209 ignition.  The guy has $400 on it but he will take $375.  Comes with a Sling and Weaver 3x9 Scope and mounts.  He also has a box full of Powder, 50/50 Pyrodex Pellets, Sabot Loads and Accessories.  The rifle was probably shot less than 25 times.  He wants to go strictly primitive after buying and building a Brown Bess Kit for Revolutionary War Re-enactments and a Pennsylvania Patch & Round Ball Long Rifle for hunting, so the In-Line is up for sale.

I know that Knight is supposed to be a good piece.  Is $375 a good price for a used Stainless/Synthetic Knight in 'as new' condition with a decent scope and sling?   I'm almost positive that the box of extras will not be included in the price of the rifle.

need more info what model Knight. new weaver?  old weaver? shot only 25 times can be worst than 200 times if it was't cleaned properly and it happens with muzzleloaders if he gave $400.00 for the gun and scope  new than $375 is too much

I think I'll pass on this one.  I already have one In-Line and a Flintlock.

All I remember is that it was a Knight .50 Stainless/Synthetic with a 3x9 Weaver Scope and mounts.  It wasn't a bundle rifle that Knight puts out.  I asked because I don't know much about Knights, other than they are decent pieces and they sell tons of them in this area.

Thanks for your input.
