BAM 50 questions......?
« on: September 04, 2005, 09:09:34 AM »
I've seen some fairly good prices for the BAM 50 pcp rifles mostly in .177. As far as I can tell they are Chinese copies of an older Daystate design. Just wondering if they are worth the money or subject to problems and how the power and accuracy are. I see they need scoping, too. Anybody got experience with this air rifle?

Randy Mitchell did a review of this rifle and you can read it at
http://www.compasseco.com/article_xsb50.htm.  Jim Chapman also did an article on them and considers them well worth the money.  Accurate, powerful and very well made.  You can read Jim's story at http://www.adventuresinairguns.com/XSB50hunt.html.  I just got my Tech Force M50 in .22 caliber(it was on back order for a few weeks) and have yet to mount the new Leapers scope on it.  I’ve been busy Dove hunting and trying to fill my Antelope tag.  Lawdog

I also have been interested in the Bam 50 but I am left handed. Does this rifle have an ambidextorous stock or just right handed?
Love to buy one in 22 caliber.

The Tech Force M50 has the ambidextrous stock and is available in both .177 and .22 caliber.  The Tech Force M51 is the thumbhole version and is only available in right hand only.  Check them out at http://www.compasseco.com/shop/products.html?maingroup=Tech%20Force%20Air%20Guns&secondgroup=Air%20Rifles and scroll down to the bottom of the page.  Compasseco, Inc. are good people and a great outfit to do business with.  Lawdog

You would be better off calling Compasseco as they have a limited number of office personal.  They are not much for answering general question e-mails.  I too waited for an answer to e-mails from them, that's why I call anymore.  Lawdog
