I have the Bushnell Trophy with 4 reticles that you can switch. It is mounted on the .44 Mag barrel sometimes. I alternate it with a shotgun scope. The Trophy has 11 brightness settings. Not to condone night hunting but it has its uses with varmints, cats, etc. You cannot shoot groups with it. It is too easy to change the parallax. Supposedly the EOtech/Bushnell Holosights are parallax free but they are to the tune of $250. The Trophy was only $25 due to some poor customer service at Bass Pro Shop (they have since taken care of the problem). Anyway, if I had to do it over I would get the Mueller 2-7 with illuminated center dot for 150 odd bucks and have the best of both worlds without having to remount. The Trophy uses 30mm rings by the way.
As far as speed on target...once you get used to it it is fantastic. Parallax again being the problem. You can, however, hit within 75 yards pretty well. Well enough to broadside a deer with the 44.
