Bought an 1892 winchester today 20-25 cal. Serial no.# 360XXX.
It's a rifle , 24" barrel crescent butt plate. Anybody know much about these. I always wanted on and now I have one that needs restoring. Needs forearm and barrel relined , a few dents in reciever but I think the will fill and sand out without removing to much metal.
Can you tell me if the reciever was blued or color cased? Any and all info will be appreciated.
