Kudos to Kittery Trading Post--Kittery Maine

I have to tell you guys about my most recent purchase from my favorite NEF store.  I bought a 30-30 handi on Sept 2 for 219.95 from Kittery Trading Post.  Not a bad price (gotta support the independents!), last week I went into the store and they were having their "Septemberfest" and Handi's were $194.95!  The told me that if I brought back the receipt they would honor the price and give me back the 25.00.  Of course I didn't have the receipt and gas being $3.59 gallon, I wasn't going to make the 100 mile trip in my GMC Sierra!!...Today, business took me back down south to Kittery, I went to customer service with my receipt (the sales was no longer on) and they credited my 25.00!!  That, plus the 20.00 mail in rebate that NEF was offering lower the price of that gun to $174.95!!  NOT BAD!  I apologize for the rambling story, but I have to give credit where credit is due!

Way to go!! Kittery Trading Post was one of my favorite spots when I lived in the Caribou area. I still check their used guns on their web page and have bought two Handis from them the last two years. Good shootin..

Come on lets not tell too many about my honey hole ok......GREAT PLACE TO VISIT......and shop

Checkout there fishing dept too and the prices on their outdoor clothes you can get some great buys there.  Its my favorite place to stop in Maine to and from the Rockport area and LL BEAN too. Plus good eats too. Great place for tag sales and antique bargains too.

I take it BigBill that you frequent my state!  I RARELY go to LLBean...and it hurts me to say that being a maine native!  LLB recently relocated all their hunting and fishing items to their own little store.  At first I thought that was kinda cool, didn't have to interface with as many people!  Then I was told by someone in customer service that they did that because people were complaining about the stuffed animals and guns in the main store!!!!!  It really fries my tail that they would pander to those folks!

Yup I stop in Kittery Trading Post on the way up and on the way back too each time i go up to Maine.  On one of my trips lastyear they had a brand new 1895CB 45/70 marlin for $450.  They have some great deals there.

I guess most travelers aren't in touch with the outdoors, mounted animals, firearms and hunting. On one trip thru Vermont i spotted what looked like a naked body on the ground in a parking lot and as we got closer we discovered it was 3 guys prepping a whole big pig for a roast. Its the real way of life and how it was at one time no matter how bad the pig looked it sure does eat good when its done.  Too bad some people just don't have a clue.
