The ones I have now I made out of cut down shafts of arrows I bought at closeout prices or at rummage sales. My Barnett Ranger takes 16 inch bolts with the shaft sizes 2117 and 2216. 2219 can be used too but since they are heavier they hold energy better and seem to shoot higher out of my xbow??? I know it sounds odd but that is what happens. the 2216 and 2117 (Reccomended for my xbow by Barnett) both shoot to the same poa. I got about 30 fletched and ready to shoot with a other dozen shafts that need fletching and ends and nocks put on.
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

I only use Carbons to hunt with now. I use 18" Gold Tip Lasers with my Excal vixen, 4" vanes and 100 gr. Slick Trick broadhead- total weight is 330-335 gr. for 295 fps.
My Excal Paradoxs I use 20" Beman Thunderbolts,  4" vanes, 85 gr brass inserts and 125 gr Slick Tricks-total weight is 455gr for 320 fps.
