You have several options here. The stock sights that come with the 753 and the 853 are different.
(Note the 853 style peep is what is supplied stock on the 888 as well)
The 853 peep is the supposed "low end" sight. At 10m rifle targets with a near zero you will be looking a POI impact shifts of about 2 clicks per scoring ring. (I'd guess Daisy would probably sell you one for ~$25)
The sight that comes with the 753 (now) is a chinese copy of the spanish Gamo Diopter sight. I feel it is a piece of garbage. There is so much backlash in the sight that you will end up seeing 4-6 ring jumps with only one click of the sight after a buildup of 3-4 clicks. Extremely frustrating for shooters to use. You can purchase this POC from Daisy for $35 (DON'T). Daisy has been notified of this issue and has had many sights returned.
You can purchase a true spanish Gamo Diopter rear sight here in the US from Brenzovich Firearms & Training Center.
http://www.brenzovich.com/These sights will give you about 3 clicks per scoring ring adjustability at 10m (air rifle target). Don't cry here ... they are EXPENSIVE!!! $80. Please believe me that if you purchase a Daisy you will send it back.
(Also George Brenzovich has some very nice 20x60 spotting scopes that a bunch of us here in NM use for Air Rifle $125 ea. Mine focus down to about 15 feet.)
One thing about the 853 stock peeps and the Gamo styles ... there is a difference in height above the receiver... maybe 1/8" ... so your front sight height may need a bit of tweaking. Example: When you move from a stock 853 sight to a 753 sight on a Daisy gun, you also need to change out the front sight ($15). But I really like the 753 front sight ... it takes all standard 18mm inserts.
In summary, when I change out the sights on our 888's, I order a 753 front sight (P/N#5901) from Daisy and a Gamo from Brenzovich.
Daisy's phone is 800-643-3458 ... I usually talk to Denise.
