grip size on Encore
« on: September 07, 2005, 05:20:27 AM »
Hello,

The pistol grip size on the Walnut stock is larger in "girth" than the grip size on the black synthetic butt stock.  I like the smaller size due to the fact that I have smaller sized hands.  How does the grip size on the laminate butt stocks compare?  Are they the same size as the Walnut stocks or the black synthetic stocks?  How about the Real Tree stocks?  What is their size in comparison?

Thanks,

Matt

I noticed the same thing on the black synthetic (smaller grip) vs. wood (larger grip) stocks.  I also recently looked at an Encore with a laminate stock at a local gun shop, and the grip seemed just like the wood stock (larger than the black synthetic).  I've never picked up an Encore with the Realtree stocks, but I was told that they are exactly the same as the black synthetic stocks...just in camo.

Also, you could probably email TC Arms and get more definite answers to this question.

Check out www.  gunstocksinc. com (leave spaces out) I am not affiliated with them but have bought from them. They are rough shaped and inletted. I little time with a file and sandpaper and you get excactly the right fit.

Mine feels better than the stock walnut. Good luck
