454 casull loads?
« on: May 31, 2005, 03:44:11 PM »
Does anyone have any 454 loads using cast bullets in the 260/265 range.  I know most people will think this is to light a bullet for the 454.  I have some cast performance in the 265 wfngc for the 45colt.  Would like to work up a hot 454 load and from there, try them in the 460 S&W.  Thanks for any info or ideas.

I have a 260 gr. cast bullet with a gas check I shoot in my 454 Casull. I load 25 gr. of 2400 under the 260 gr. bullet.  I don't consider a 260 gr. bullet light.  :D

I have been loading 23 to 24 grains of AA9 behind a 270 grain Thunderhead from Penn Bullets.
