Accuracy and barrel swapping?
« on: September 19, 2005, 06:25:29 AM »
Guys I have a 308 barrel coming to go with my 243 and 50cal. My question is in swapping barrels do you have problems with accuracy after swapping. Such as going from 50 cal to 308 and back? Does the zero shift? I'm thinking it might with the touchy nature of these guns and the forends. If I can get OK groups with the forend tight as I can get it maybe it would be repeatable. But if I have to go to some of the extreme's as in the sticky's with the forends I cant see ever getting repeatable accuracy swapping barrels without resighting in. What's ya'lls thoughts?

Once your sighted in...your sighted in...it doesn't change...you just have to remember to tighten the forend screw to the same amount..if your scope moves...then it is most likely a problem with it or the mounts.
