Pres. Bush and reference to God

President Bush is taking a lot of hits from many groups about his inclusion of God, or theistic views, in his speeches/addresses lately.  I'm a religous person and I think it's great, but I want to hear what others think.  thoughts? ideas?

cjbi, it doesn't look like you are getting much response on this so I am going to speak my mind.

I believe that President Bush is a good man and has the best interests of the American people at heart. I also believe that he believes that God is on our side........but, I don't believe that God is "on anyone's side".

My understanding is that God has a plan for man and the plan is being carried out.  The Bible also states " the end was written from the beginning." The world is on a type of timetable....or more like an "event table" and the end cannot and will not come until all of prophecy has been fulfilled. Man is in the process of being "educated" and he will learn God's ways.....or else.

Maybe Mr. Bush is doing what God wants him to....maybe not. The Bible says to pray for our leaders and this is what I suggest we all do.

Things look bad and they will become worse....much worse, but this is in preparation for the return of the Lord and an end to the mess we have made.

Forgive me if I gave you the impression that "the end was written from the beginning" was a "quote" from scriptures.

I have the habit of using quotation marks to emphasize.  That "the end was written from the beginning" is a recurring theme throughout both the old and new testaments.  It first appears in Genesis (the beginning) and is further emphasized by the prophets both major and minor.  It lastly appears in Revelation and it's companion book, Daniel (both end-time books).

I intended to answer only the one post as it appeared others were hesitant to "speak" on the subject.  The poster asked for comments and probably felt that he was being ignored.  Not nice.  

The intricacies of the Bible probably should not be discussed in a "forum context" but should be "taught" as Jesus demonstrated.  Imagine, if you will, the Bible being argued on the Senate floor (a forum).
