Contender trigger job

Last year I had a trigger jobs done all 4 of my Contender frames; 3 came out great.  I wanted to set up my spare frame and it's trigger is way to light, under 2#'s.  I contacted TC about sending me out a trigger spring but they won't.  Any ideas on where I can get a heavy trigger spring or any way on how to bring it back up to say 4-5 #'s?

Simple, just stretch the spring you have. It won't take much to fix it right up. It's the one under the plunger cap under the front of the trigger on top of the trigger guard.

If you still want to get a new spring, just call TC with the part number and they will sell you one. Just don't tell them what you are up to, just ask for the part.

If you are still having trouble, E-mail me and I will cut you a new spring from some spring stock I have. It would cost you a buck including postage and the envelope.

I'm sure just stretching the spring will work great for you.

Ask a smoker for an empty butane lighter.  Take out the springs.  Cut to length with side cutters and install.  Worse case, you spend 50 cents at the store and buy a bic lighter.  

Springs work great.  If by chance it is not quite right, you can alway add a little more or less spring and try again.  (they are about 1" long in the lighters and you only use about a 1/4 of it.)
