Participatin' in Marshal Graybeards first Cowboy Shoot!!
« on: March 04, 2003, 03:38:56 PM »
I had really wanted to let the Marshal take care of his accounting, and for the most part, I will.  However!!  I'll let ya in on what I know to be fact.  This feller can shoot!!! He don't look bad in a dress either!!!  :-D  :-D  :-D
The North Alabama Regulators are a great bunch of folks to shoot with.  Their range is well laid out, lots of room, great props, and an imaginative stage writer.  If you ever have the chance to shoot with them, do so.
My day started at 1:45am, and the first thing I did was turn on the computer and check the weather for Grant, Al.  Supposed to be mid 40's and partly cloudy.  Didn't quite make it.  Maybe upper 30's and drizzle all morning.  Got to meet the Marshal and his Lady,  Holliday Hayes, and as a bonus, LoLo and Andrew Quigley.  I would have loved for us all to be posseyed together, but it didn't happen.  LoLo and Andrew were on another posse.  I never had any doubts to the Marshal's shooting, or safety skills, but was impressed with his Cowboy shooting procedure knowledge.
I got to see Big Eds Leather, Jimmy's cart, and the infamous EMF's(they seemed to do pretty good after the band-aid the Marshal applied to'em, at least the steel was ringing a pretty tune to them.
I appologize to everybody here, most of my pictures were too dark to publish, it was just too dark and a new to me camera.
Don't ya'll let Holliday's modesty fool ya, he's a mighty fine cowboy shooter, and knowledgable to the ways of the Black!
Though, I didn't get to shoot with LoLo, I knew when he was shooting!!  The ground shook!!  Ain't nothing like a full 45 case of black powder, except maybe a shotshell full!!!! :)  :)
Since this isn't my tale to tell, I'm gonna stop here, but you can bet I'm gonna have somethin' to say when the Marshal tell's ya about it!!  :-D  :-D

Were your pictures digital or negative?  Sometimes we can "clean-up" the digital ones with some of our computer programs.  If so, send me one or two and I'll try to post them for you

I do apoligize for my delay. I felt really poorly when I got home and couldn't do it then. Since then events have over come me. Had farm chores that had to come first in the nice weather since the store opens tomorrow "I think" and then my time is gonna be limited to do some of the chores that need done before real spring arrives. Then to top it off a major problem developed on another forum that has consumed almost all of my online time.

I'm reading the posts currently up that I've not seen. When finished I'll set down my thoughts on the first shoot in what I hope to be a coherent manner.
