I just got a 28 gauge and the pattern has quite a few holes in it is there a way to improve it?

Change the choke, change the shot weight, change the shot size.

Send the barrel to a gunsmith that specializes is shotguns and have the forcing cone lengthened. It is supposed to help reduce recoil, too, but that shouldn't be a problem with a 28.

The foring Cone cut out will help in the pattern to you wont have as many flyers (bent shot if it is lead). VM

What size shot? There just ain't many pellets in a 28 guage load. I think anything bigger than 7-1/2 or 8 would cause holes in the pattern.

Oh sorry i thought i said the shot size. I was using 7 1/2.
