Stop your snickering. I've been thinking of casting diffrent sizes of these out of aluminum for sale. I thought they would be a nice accessory for peoples cannons. Does any one have any suggestions as to how they should look? I don't think I've seen an original. I've seen ones that has the letters U.S on them, ones that had a knob on the end to remove it, ones that were just flat on the end, and one with a smiley face on it. These would be flat on the back and a wood plug could be made and screwed to the back that fits the bore of your gun. Is this a good idea? Thanks for any input.

Hey Wes..... this is one that I made a while back.  A blank wood plaque from the local crafts store, a piece of PVC glued to the back and some duct tape to make the PVC fit my bore.



About the only time I actually use it is when the cannon is in the back of my pickup.  One thing to note..... in addition to keeping moisture out, it will also keep any existing moisture in.

This is as copper covered one on a cannon now for sale on the internet. I like the addition of the US on it.
