Non-Encore or Contender T/C Break Action Rifle???
« on: September 28, 2005, 08:26:48 PM »
My dealer just got a used T/C rifle in that looks more like a traditional breakaction shotgun.  It has the top mounted lever , a double set trigger, and is chambered in 223.  Can anyone enlighten me on this model?  When made? Accuracy? Durability? Etc....

He's asking somewhere between $300-350 for the rifle with an older scope on it.  The rifle has its original open sights removed.  The metal and wood finishes are in excellent condition.

sounds like the tcr 83 aristocrat. the hunter model had a single trigger. a friend of mine has one and he loves it! it's very well made, and accurate! the barrels are still around but are more expensive than encore or contender barrels. the price is a fair one! and its a diffrent piece!

Buy it. The barrels alone are going for that on Ebay.
