Hi All,

This may have been asked before, but I cannot recall. If it has then please forgive me:-

Has anyone had any dealings with the Rossi single shot rifles?

They come in various calibres including 30-06 & .270 as well as .223 Rem. The reason is that the importer here has just put them on sale for under half the normal price and a friend who has his dealers licence phoned me and asked if I would like one. Never having seen them (only in photos, in adverts) nor handled them I know next to nothing about them apart from they are made in Brazil and are break action single shots.

Scroll down a bit and there is a Rossi forum. Most people who have them are very satisfied, especially for the money spent.

I have a Rossi 45 Long Colt and My wife has a Rossi 44 Magnum Both have been well used. They have held up and taken deer. My only complaint is I'd like a set of Firestorm sights like on the Henry Mini-bolt on my Rossi.

Also we have the Rossi .410/22LR combo. It too has been shot a lot and seems to be ready fo another thousand rounds :eek:

I have stainless .308 - it handles very nicely, lightweight, well balanced and pretty well put together. The trigger is suprisingly good after wearing it in a bit. It also shoots very very well. Good solid hunting rifle and it wont be the end of the world if I dent, scratch or drop it in a river. Im going to get another one soon in .270, do some work on it reshaping the stock etc and use it as a lightweight mountain rifle for Chamois and Thar.

Hi All,

Thank you for your responses, I couldn't pursue the Rossi as I do not have a space available on my licence and further more with unemployment I just cannot afford to to get one even though they are on half price offer just now which is a bit of a pity

The friend who made me aware of the offer has brought a .357 one for use at the indoor club range and I will interested to see just how it performs. :-)
