Perazzi questions
« on: October 01, 2005, 05:30:31 PM »
:D
Hi GUYS,  Has anyone outthere ever heard of a Perazzi MS80 shotgun?  If so, about when were they made and at what level are they consdered?  entry level, intermediate, etc.  Are they skeet or trap guns?  What would a MS80 be worth if it were in good shape?

Thanks for your time and responses.

JT.

The Perazzi is the absolute TOP OF THE LINE Italian shotgun. Even better and more expensive than the Beretta which is the other top of the line Italian shotgun brand.

I'm not familar with that particular one but they make no second rate guns, only the best. Are you sure it's not an MX8?  Here is a link to their web site:

Here is an image of one of those cheap guns:  :-D

Hi GB is right they are top of the line. I have seen some and handed a few at the state sporting clay shoot a few yrs back. The only one i have shot like the Perazzi is the Krieghoff K 80. The young guy that had it said to me that he was making payments on it like you would a house. They are VERY NICE guns. VM

JT,
I think the model your refering to is the MX 8 . Made for the 1968 Mexico Olympics. I have seen these advertized used at 4-5K. The ones Graybeard is showing when combined in a 4 guage set (4 guns) costs $ 395,000.00. They only make something like 10 sets per year.

Yup those top of the heap ones with gold enlays are just a wee tad expensive. I'm surprised they even go that cheaply. I've not had a Perazzi catalog in a few years but back then they had individual guns going for over $150,000 I think. Not EVEN in my league but something to dream about.

The more plain Jane versions however are basically the same gun just without the frills and can be affordable even if not cheap. Not many around here shoot them and I've never even seen any but the base models other than in photos like those above.
