Removing a Blackhawk barrel?
«

is it a straight forward job or does Ruger use loktite or other silliness on the threads? Anyone ever use a simple barrel vise and revolver frame-wrench to remove a Blackhawk barrel?

The barrel is simply screwed in, there is approximately 30 degrees of "crush", torque applied from about 10 o'clock to keep the barrel tight.
It would pay you to get Jerry Kuenhausen's manual on Ruger Single Actions, all is explained.
