I just bought a Nylon 66 .22LR rifle. price for it $50. Brazilian copy but otherwise identical. Came with a Bushnell 4x20 Sportview and...... a broken cocking handle, its alright but best leave a round in the chamber or cocked otherwise its hard to pull

My dad owns a true Remington 66 with the Chrome reciever and barrel he paid $350+

found it. is cheap but with ship/handling might as well order something else too just to make more worth while.

I had a Remington 66, Apache black in .22.  Man, that was a sweet little rifle.  It only weighed about 4 1/2lbs. and was quite accurate.  It was my first and only rifle with a synthetic stock.  I'm really sorry Remington discontinued the line.  I guess I have bad luck in that respect.  It seems that often a rifle I'll really like, Remington pulls the plug on.  Best wishes.

Hi All,

My first .22 rimfire rifle was a Nylon 66 Mohawk, I finally sold it as I had got fed up with trying to get parts for the firing pin and it's retainer. I had already replaced the barrel due to a bulge and crack from some one getting a bullet stuck in the bore and continuing firing. This 66 had been hammered over the years, poor thing.

Later I brought one of the new CBC 66 copies with the black stock, didn't keep it very long as I got the one which the blind one armed man made, inaccurate and prone to stoppages/misfeeds   Glad yours is working well :-)

I suppose some one had to get the duff one, this time is was me :(

I bought a used one with a 3-9 scope on it 26 years ago and still have it.  In fact it's the only 22 rifle I have.  It shoots good and it never jams.  Back when I was around 17 years old I tried to take it apart and heard a spring or something in the receiver make a funny noise so I brought it to the Arms in Ilion and they fixed it free of charge no questions asked.

Great gun...will pass it down to my son some day.
