V.M.,
I personally do not like the simmons or tasco brand, the simmons is like looking thru a toilet paper tube, and the tasco seems to fragle, Take a look at the Busnell banner or trophy line, and this will keep you in the $100.00 range.
And if you elect to drill &tap the sp-10 the trophy will take the abuse.

 I'm not a big fan of tasco or simmons either or any inexpensive scope. I've seen many problems with them at sight ins for deer hunting. A 12 gauge can have plenty of recoil that can shake them up. I'll stick to my bead which has worked well for me. You might want to look at a reddot. I put one on a 44 mag and it seems sturdy. :gulp:

Spend a little extra money and go for the better quality, durability, and better optics on the Bushnell Trophy 1.75-4x32 with the Circle-X reticle.  It has extremely good optics for its price and is a great value in the lower price range scopes, but is made to take the recoil of slug guns and BP weapons. Simply adjust the scope so it centers the pattern in the Circle-X at 25-30 yards and the rest is up to you.

has them for $99.
