twist on rifling for 7mm-08

What is the correct twist for the rifling on my 7mm-08 barrel? My son-in-law and  I are showing a left hand twist on our barrels.  He is having an accuracy problem with his...it will not pattern.  I thought most rifles had a right hand twist.

According to the reference section of Sierra's 5th edition 1 turn in 9" is the standard twist rate TC uses in the Encore 7-08 and also in all their other 7mm chamberings from Encore 7 mag. to Contender 7 TCU. :D

I think that the OP is asking if the left-hand twist is causing the accuracy problem.   For most applications it doesn't matter which direction the bullet spins.  The accuracy problem the son-in-law is experiencing is not due to a left handed twist.  Their could be a defect in the barrel or lockup, the load may not be appropriate, the scope or mount may be loose, the guy may not be able to shoot the rifle....there are many reasons for poor accuracy.  How about more specifics on the load, scope, etc.

The only differences between my son-in-law's set-up and mine is he is using quick release mounts (leopold) and brand of scope.  Both scopes are tactical/varmit scopes, his is a Bushnel 4200 Elite (6x24x40) and mine is a Tasco (6x24x42).  We are both shooting Hornady Light Magnum SST in 139gr.  His is shooting 4-6" groups and mine is shooting sub 1" groups.  Maybe this old man is just a better shot :)  :-D   Grodon and Lone Star, thanks for the help!!!
